the twentysomething year old

What makes life so interesting are the risks you take and the people you meet. I've lived the majority of my life fearing the consequences of risks. Well, that's what the twenties are for! I am going to write about my trials and tribulations of being a twentysomething year old in this big world, trying to figure it all out. It's going to be a topsy turvy ride, but that's what being in your twenties is all about.

seriously, it's been a long time. it's already NOVEMBER!

My year in Brazil has come and gone. I am currently back at Middlebury College where life is stressful as usual. The academic pressure is on. The transition back to life in the U.S., or rather, MIDDLEBURY LIFE is still a struggle. Actually, almost every day is a struggle. I miss Brazil so much. I miss Michel even more.

Anyway, inspired by a blog I was just reading, I realized that I used to blog a lot in middle school and in high school. And I should try to keep this up...even if it will be just for 1 year, my senior year in College. I used to have 2 xangas...oh boy! Xangas, the middle school phenomena. I realized that I enjoy using writing as a tool to express myself. And I need to do that more often. It's a way to improve my writing and enhance my self-expression. It's also a lot better than mulling over thoughts in my head.

So here's to a new start! Let me end this entry with a quotation:

In life, we do things -- Some, we wish we had never done & some we wish we could replay a million times. But, they all make us who we are & in the end, they shape and detail us. If we were to reserve them, we wouldn't be the same person we are today. So just live. Make mistakes. And have wonderful memories. But, never second guess who you are, where you'vebeen & most importantly where you're going.

  1. omgggg i had xangas too! (three of them LOL) and i would blog everyday, but the most angsty, teen blogging ever. maybe i'll email you some snippets one day hahaha. anyways, came across your latest entries when i tried to sync my google accounts together. now that we're out of college, it's even more important to either blog or journal, to try to capture these crazy months (or years in the 20s) which will (scarily) determine the rest of our lives...

    te quiero!!
